Abstract
A registry for studying the morphological changes that occur in patients with adverse reactions to drugs was established more than eight years ago. Since then, 2,700 cases have been accessioned. There are major problems in analyzing and diagnosing alleged drug-reaction cases. Consultative, investigative, and educational functions of the registry have been developed. Recognizing the need for correlating the morphological with the clinical and clinical-laboratory findings, the registry has carried out 18 investigations on selected cases.
