Abstract
The deuteron spectrum following pion absorption at rest is calculated in a two step model using a "two nucleon" absorption vertex. The deuterons, which are produced in this model by the pickup of a nucleon in the second step, are calculated in the partial wave formalism of the distorted-wave Born approximation. The calculated spectrum with appropriate distortion is found to be in reasonable accord with the experiments. Keywords
