Abstract
The spectra of SrCl and SrH are observed in absorption. The SrCl analysis given by Parker is confirmed. Measurement of the relative intensities of corresponding bands of the electronic doublet indicates that is the ground state. Rotational analyses of several bands of the and systems of SrH lead to values of of 4.008 and 1.925 for the and states, respectively. Vibrational analyses of the two systems give , for the state; , for the state and and for the state. The perturbations in the and states are discussed in terms of the interactions of the , , and states.
