Tricritical points in nonsymmetric systems

Abstract
The logarithmic corrections to the mean-field theory of unsymmetrical tricritical points in ternary fluid mixtures are derived in three dimensions using a graphical method. The free energy, equation of state and the various densities and susceptibilities are obtained. Two susceptibilities are of particular interest as they show a purely logarithmic divergence at the tricritical point.Keywords
