Abstract
Ag- and Cu-doped amorphous As2Se3 and GeSe2 were studied by XPS. The binding energies and/or Auger kinetic energies were determined for films of Ag and Cu, and amorphous films of Ge, As, Se, GeSe2, As2Se3, Ag-doped GeSe2, Ag- and Cu-doped As2Se3. The chemical shifts revealed that electrons are transferred from doped metal atoms to As and Se for As2Se3, and to Ge and Se for GeSe2. The valence band spectra were also examined. Modifications of amorphous networks are discussed. Keywords
