Neonatal and Infantile Erythrodermas

Abstract
NEONATAL and infantile erythroderma is rare, but its frequency is unknown. Numerous underlying causes have been reported in the literature.1-17 The etiological diagnosis of erythroderma is frequently difficult to establish, and is usually delayed, owing to the poor specificity of clinical and histological signs. The problems involved in the diagnosis and treatment of erythroderma are specific to the neonatal period.1-4
