Abstract
This case report describes a fatal cardiac arrest during percutaneous vertebroplasty. This serves to remind us that life threatening intraoperative pulmonary embolism may occur in this minimal invasive procedure. Surgical precautions and invasive cardiovascular monitoring may be required in high-risk patients. Keywords
