Abstract
1 The potassium-sparing diuretics, triamterene and amiloride, reduced urinary magnesium excretion in conscious saline-loaded rats. 2 Urinary magnesium-conservation was also detected when amiloride was used in combination with the potent ‘loop-blocking’ diuretic, frusemide.Keywords
