Abstract
A 4.5-yr.-old girl with precocious sexual development presumably of the constitutional type, was treated with methyltestosterone orally for over 2 yrs. Breast development was suppressed and menstruation averted. Roentgenograms of the skeleton showed that while growth was markedly accelerated, the epiphyses of the long bones remained sufficiently well open to dispel fears of closure before a desirable height was attained. Virilizing effects were minimal. Keywords
