Abstract
Analyses of muscle, obtained by biopsy from patients whith muscular dystrophy, revealed an increased content of collagen and elastin; aldolase and phosphorylase activity was decreased. The diminished enzyme activity was evident when expressed either in terms of sample wet wt. or in terms of remaining muscle fibrillar protein, non-collagen N. On the other hand, aldolase activity of the serum in these patients was increased several-fold.Keywords
