AUTONOMIC CHANGES AFTER UNILATERAL LEUCOTOMY

Abstract
Autonomic reflexes studied in 4 patients before and after unilateral leucotomy provided no evidence of prefrontal cortical autonomic centers for focal control of vascular or sweating responses. Certain variabilities suggest that the frontal lobes exert both inhibitory and excitatory influence on centers having focal autonomic functions.
