Abstract
A series of experiments on angular and energy straggling of heavy ions traversing carbon foils was carried out on the MP Tandem at Strasbourg, along with foil lifetime studies. An adaptation of the results and of the already available knowledge applicable to the GANIL mass and energy range is presented. Keywords
