ReactionC12(O16,α)Mg24Leading to Nuclear Molecular Resonances

Abstract
The reactions C12(O16,α)Mg24 and C13(O16,α)Mg25 were investigated at an incident energy of 145 MeV. In the reaction with the C12 target, broad peaks are observed at forward angles which correspond to the molecular resonance states of the C12 + C12 system, while the spectra with C13 target show only a smooth continuum.
