Abstract
A new type of mutual injection locking between two distributed feedback laser diodes (DFB LDs) of the same structure is proposed and experimentally confirmed. The lasing frequencies and the spectra are locked and stabilised when the lasing frequency difference of the two LDs was equal to one Fabry-Perot mode spacing. Keywords
