Generational aspects of television coviewing

Abstract
Previous research has suggested that other household members influence the television programs an individual will watch. This study used correlation and multiple regression analyses to examine viewing configurations and the factors predicting television viewing after controlling for the amount of viewing. Results indicated that peer coviewing was the most commonly occurring coviewing pattern, and that a general model of television viewing should include measures of viewing inertia and peer coviewing.
