Abstract
The constraints imposed on dual amplitudes and Regge trajectories by conditions of crossing, Regge asymptotic behavior, polynomial residues, and meromorphy are investigated. A general class of amplitudes satisfying these conditions is constructed. Its relation to existing dual models and a closely related nonmeromorphic class of amplitudes which indicate composite hadron structure are then discussed. Keywords
