Abstract
A versatile and flexible digital timing generator system is described. It may be used for gating or delayed triggering of external devices. As an additional feature, achieved at practically no extra expense, increment/decrement facilities are provided. With these, a scanning delay can be generated, e.g. in digital boxcar applications. The time resolution of 1 mu s is present over the full range (up to 10000 s). Although the system is designed for stand-alone operation, computer control is also feasible, and it should turn out appropriate for a variety of experimental situations. Keywords
