Abstract
The alignment of crystallites in fims of PVF2 prepared by a drawing and rolling technique developed previously for obtaining a single-crystal-like orientation, has been examined using x-ray pole figures. Comparison of the pole figures for the drawn-rolled film with those obtained from a drawn-only film shows that the β-phase crystals, initially arranged in a cylindrically symmetrical pattern in the drawn-only film, have been transformed into a (310)[002] texture upon rolling and annealing. Additionally, the pole figures reveal residual α-phase crystals exhibiting an (020)[002] orientation. This publication has 6 references indexed in Scilit:
