Abstract
A case [human] of a primary non-tuberculous psoas abscess is reported and the literature is reviewed. Most psoas abscesses are secondary to extension of inflammatory processes from adjacent structures. Primary psoas abscess is a relatively rare condition and is usually staphylococcal in nature. The pathophysiology, clinical presentation and treatment are discussed. This publication has 10 references indexed in Scilit:
