Abstract
A comparison of the developmental morphology of two species of Chaetomium, C. globosum and C. brasiliense, was made. In both species the ascocarp is initiated by a coiled ascogonium that becomes covered over by filaments. The later stages of development are similar in 2 spp., although pronounced differences exist in the ascogenous hyphae. The centrum structure if that of the order Sphaeriales. This publication has 6 references indexed in Scilit:
