The Luminescence of Broad‐Band Emitters in LiLaP4O12

Abstract
The luminescence of LiLa1−xMxP4O12 (M = Ce3+, Eu3+, Tb3+, Bi3+) is measured. Only for the Ce3+ ion pronounced concentration quenching is observed. The spectra of pairs of activators differ slightly from those of isolated activators. The Bi3+ emission is strongly Stokes shifted and is ascribed to AX emission. The Sb3+ ion shows a very efficient luminescence in this host lattice with an unusually small Stokes shift.
