Abstract
Intraperit. admn. of aureomycin, chloramphenicol and terramycin in 2 mg. doses within 12 hrs. of intraven. injn. of plague toxin conferred definite, but limited, antitoxic protection to mice. Streptomycin did not have this protective action. Aureomycin injd. 1 hr. or 12 hrs. prior to toxin exerted the greatest protective effect. Chloramphenicol was not as effective as either aureomycin or terramycin against P. pestis toxin. Keywords
