Abstract
Uric acid was determined in blood and serum in 53 patients with chronic mental disease; in 42 patients with acute psychotic states and in 78 patients with subacute psychotic states. No difference in the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) uric acid concentration was found. A significant regression of CSF uric acid/serum uric acid was found in all groups. Keywords
