Abstract
Experiments on antidot superlattices with a variety of rectangular geometries are used to test basic symmetry relations. Depending on the direction of current flow with respect to lattice orientation, different classical periodic orbits are probed. The symmetry relations also persist into the quantum-mechanical regime. Our experimental results show that a quantum effect like the Shubnikov–de Haas oscillations can be modified for the current direction where the resistance is influenced by classical trajectories and periodic orbits. Keywords
