Abstract
The bifunctional thiourea–tertiary amine derivatives of simple chiral diamines serve as highly enantioselective catalysts for the Michael addition of α-substituted cyanoacetates to vinyl sulfones, giving an efficient protocol for the construction of an all-carbon substituted quaternary stereocentre. Keywords
