Abstract
A urine infusion procedure showed that a significant fraction of inulin was not recovered in the urine after a 5-hour period of recirculation in normal subjects. The recovery of sucrose after a similar period of recirculation was somewhat more complete. The urine reinfusion technique allows short-term studies to be performed in intact man independently of the function of the kidney. Keywords
