Abstract
A new, fatal complication of transtracheal aspiration is described in a cirrhotic patient. Death was related to gastrointestinal bleeding (rupture of esophageal varices and Mallory-Weiss syndrome) due to unrestrainable coughing originating from transtracheal aspiration. This publication has 7 references indexed in Scilit:
