Abstract
A Langevin equation describing the relative motion of a pair of potential reactants in a fluid is numerically solved to obtain the time dependent probability of recombination. The pair friction coefficient that appears in the Langevin equation depends on the pair separation and is obtained from a kinetic theory. We assess the effect of this space dependence on the recombination probability by comparison with the constant friction results. Keywords
