Abstract
The effective critical exponent , where is the magnetic susceptibility and is the reduced temperature, has been measured for the first time in the broad region in the uniaxial dipolar Ising ferromagnets LiTb and · 9O. For LiTb a distinct maximum is found in the dependence of which remains to be explained theoretically in a satisfactory way.
