Abstract
Neutron diffraction measurements have been made at pressures up to 1 kbar on heavy water contained in a high-pressure cell manufactured from titanium zirconium alloy. The results have been used to test the degree to which the microscope structure is susceptible to isothermal compression. The likely future progress in this field is commented on.Keywords
