Abstract
The synthesis and evaluation of a new detergent that is a zwitterionic derivative of cholic acid is presented. This detergent combines the useful properties of both the sulfobetaine-type detergents and the bile salt anions. The new detergent proved to be effective at solubilizing membrane proteins in a nondenatured state. This publication has 9 references indexed in Scilit:
