Alpha-particle decay ofHf162,Lu157, andLu158

The $\alpha$-particle decays of ${}_{}{}^{162}{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{Hf}$ and of ${}_{}{}^{157,158}{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{Lu}$ were investigated in bombardments of ${}_{}{}^{144,147}{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{Sm}$ by ${}_{}{}^{20}{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{Ne}$ and ${}_{}{}^{19}{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{F}$ ions, respectively. The characteristics of these $\alpha$ emitters are as follows: (1) ${}_{}{}^{162}{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{Hf}$, $E_{\alpha }=4.311\mathrm{}\left(10\right)\mathrm{}$ MeV, $T_{\frac{1}{2}}\sim 40$ sec; (2) ${}_{}{}^{157}{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{Lu}$, $E_{\alpha }=4.999\mathrm{}\left(5\right)\mathrm{}$ MeV, $T_{\frac{1}{2}}=5.0\mathrm{}\left(5\right)\mathrm{}$ sec; and (3) ${}_{}{}^{158}{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{Lu}$, $E_{\alpha }=4.666\mathrm{}\left(5\right)\mathrm{}$ MeV, $T_{\frac{1}{2}}=9\mathrm{}\left(2\right)\mathrm{}$ sec. These data are compared with values available in the literature.
