Abstract
The effects of the protein cross-linking reagents glutaraldehyde, tannic acid and formaldehyde were examined in voltage-clamped and internally perfused squid [Loligo pealei] axons. All 3 reagents reduced Na and K currents and reduced or abolished Na inactivation.
