Abstract
Serum lipoprotein measurements were made in 16 rabbits fasted for 7 days. After 3 days of fasting the concn. of the Standard Sf 0-12, 12-20, 20-100 and 100-400 groups of serum lipoproteins all increased significantly. After 7 days of fasting the level of Standard Sf 0-12 serum lipoproteins further increased significantly. The concn. of Standard Sf 12-20 and 20-100 lipoproteins remained unchanged from that present after 3 days of fasting. The Standard Sf 100-400 group of lipoproteins decreased after 7 days of fasting and was again at the prefasting level. Keywords
