Abstract
Variational calculations are presented from the n3P2-11S0 magnetic-quadrupole decay rates, with n=2,5, for members of the helium isoelectronic sequence up to Z=10. The magnetic-quadrupole decay rates are compared with the competing n3P2-23S1 electric dipole decay rates to determine the importance of the magnetic- quadrupole transitions in the radiative decay of the n3P2 states. Keywords
