Abstract
Nuclear behaviour in Hemileia vastatrix has been reexamined. A new type of unique nuclear behaviour designated as « Kamat phenomenon » by RAJENDREN (1967) could not be observed in the present studies and this confirms the earlier observations that the uredospores are strictly dikaryotic and represent the asexual stage. Keywords
