Abstract
An aerosol-generating apparatus is described for treating screw-worm flies, Cochliomyia hominivorax (Coquerel) en masse with chemosterilants. Sexual sterility was induced after 6 min when both sexes were treated with tretamine or thiotepa (tris(1-aziridinyl) phosphine sulfide). When each sex was treated separately with tretaine and mated with untreated flies, male fertility was impaired to a greater extent than female fertility at a given exposure period. This publication has 7 references indexed in Scilit:
