Abstract
Bilateral ovariectomy at different stages resulted in abortion in rats, except sometimes in late pregnancy, and in resorption in ground squirrels. Unilateral ovariectomy did not terminate the pregnancy. Daily injections of a bovine corpus luteum extract (0.2-0.4 cc.) after ovariectomy tended to maintain the pregnancy in a normal manner in the large majority of rats and ground squirrels toward the time of normal parturition. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
