Abstract
PYELONEPHRITIS and renal abscess have been reported as complications of brucellosis.1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 The present case deserves documentation because of the rarity of the occurrence of this form of the infection. Moreover, the immunologic observations made in the course of this patient's illness clarify the clinical usefulness of some recent concepts of immunity in brucellosis.10 11 12 Case ReportK.T.B., a 30-year-old man, was admitted to the Minneapolis Veterans Administration Hospital on March 2, 1960, because of dysuria and a weight loss of 18.1 kg.
