Abstract
A Berlese funnel is described which features three 1500 W heating elements, and is capable of processing turf samples up to 3 mZ in size. The funnel efficiently and rapidly extracts flightless macro-arthropods from both turf samples and vegetation, and the large sample size allows quantitative measurement of quite sparse populations. Keywords
