Abstract
The transformation of the μ3 ligand EtNNEt into two μ3 ligands :NEt occurs upon heating the Fe3 complex 1 to 120°C. In addition to ca. 5% of decomposition products, ca. 75% of 2 and ca. 20% of 1 are obtained. The reaction 1→ 2 is the simplest example so far of a cluster‐induced fragmentation of a ligand. The overall composition of the complex does not change as a result of the NN cleavage. equation imageKeywords
