Abstract
Whereas 67Ga uptake has been reported to be highly variable and nonspecific in the diagnosis of malignant tumors of the [human] thyroid, it has also been observed to depend on the histological nature of the lesion. For this reason, the behavior of 67Ga in various types of thyroid cancer was investigated in a prospective study of 86 patients with thyroid masses compatible with anaplastic carcinoma or malignant lymphoma. A distinct difference in uptake was demonstrated between well-differentiated adenocarcinoma of the thyroid and the more undifferentiated anaplastic carcinoma and malignant lymphoma. This publication has 4 references indexed in Scilit:
