Abstract
The purpose of this research paper was to review recent drug use, misuse, and abuse incidents among elementary school children in order to emphasize the fact that the drug problem in society has spread rapidly in a downward fashion from adults to college and secondary school age students and to elementary school children. It also highlights the fact that elementary school children are constantly being exposed to the drug problem due to the use of drugs by people in their immediate environment and their subsequent carelessness. The research emphatically demonstrates that it is no longer feasible for responsible adults to deny the existence of drug problems on the elementary school level. Keywords
