Abstract
Every part of the human blood is assumed to have an important natural function, and work has progressed in making available its diverse cellular, protein and lipid components, separated and concentrated as specific therapeutic agents for many abnormal conditions. A new fractionation process has yielded all the components of plasma in 5 major fractions. Significant protein members of these fractions in therapeutic use include albumin, thrombin, fibrin foam, fibrin film and y-globulin.
