Abstract
The pressure dependence of the superconducting transition temperature for the layer compounds h-Nb1+xSe2 (x=0, 0.01, 0.02, 0.05 and 0.1) and 4H-NbSe2 has been investigated to 25 kbar. A strong enhancement of Tc is observed. A brief discussion of the influence of pressure upon the band structure and its relationship to the change in Tc is given. Keywords
