Abstract
A variety of cell lines, derived from both normal and tumor tissues, has been tested for possible stimulatory effects induced by Na 5,5 diphenyl-hydantoin (Dilantin Sodium). Of these cell utilized, only fibroblasts responded by a stimulation of proliferation with the exception of the BW1081 mouse salivary gland tumor. The significance of these findings may be of considerable importance in our ultimate understanding of fibroblast function. Keywords
