Abstract
A variety of cell lines, derived from both normal and tumor tissues, has been tested for possible stimulatory effects induced by Na 5,5 diphenyl-hydantoin (Dilantin Sodium). Of these cell utilized, only fibroblasts responded by a stimulation of proliferation with the exception of the BW1081 mouse salivary gland tumor. The significance of these findings may be of considerable importance in our ultimate understanding of fibroblast function.
