Abstract
Excitation or spectroscopic temperatures have been determined for various operating conditions of a hollow cathode discharge. It was found that the temperatures measured do not significantly change over the range of conditions studied. These results are compared to those obtained in other low-pressure discharges. The temperature values as well as trends are found to be very similar. Keywords
