Abstract
Two cases of subarachnoid hemorrhage with associated subconjunctival ecchymoses are presented. It is suggested that subconjunctival ecchymoses associated with subarachnoid hemorrhage occur on a venous basis, secondary to venous stasis and increased venous pressure, these resulting from acute elevation of intracranial pressure with subarachnoid hemorrhage.
