Abstract
An internal friction measuring apparatus of an inverted pendulum type is developed, in which a specimen is vibrated either in a torsional or in a flexural mode at low frequency. The counterweight of the pendulum can be varied stepwise from outside at any temperature and the specimen elongation is detectable. Fully automatic measurement and realtime data procession are performed with the use of a microcomputer and the experimental results are immediately displayed on a X-Y plotter as a graph and on a graphic printer as a data table.
