Fission Cross Section of Plutonium-242

The cross section for neutron induced fission of ${\mathrm{Pu}}^{242}$ has been measured between 0.1 and 1.7 Mev. The measurement was made by determining the ratio of the ${\mathrm{Pu}}^{242}$ fission cross section to that of ${\mathrm{U}}^{235}$ using a back to back gas scintillation counter.
